Beautiful, Peaceful, 5 BR home with Hot Tub!

Positive: Clean and mostly modern. I can see that the rooms are slowly been refurbished (which the owner made us aware of) so assume the main bathroom will at some point as this could do with a bit of a refresh as could the kitchen. The 3rd floor bathroom was newly refurbished and very nice. Overall very clean and comfy and suited 2 families of 4 adults and 4 kids. Plenty of space. Nice location. We also booked it as the very last minute and were able to check in within the hour so that was a blessing. I would stay here again.

We had a lovely stay but wouldn’t stay again because of all the negative points I made. Positive: - location is lovely and quiet but still close to the city. - spacious house- as a group of 8 we could move about freely and comfortably. - plenty of towels and toiletries provided. - house was warm and hot water was plenty. - hot tub was perfect and not too public. - attic bedrooms and bathroom were perfect to use. - they had left little bags of tea, coffee, sugar and milk for us to use- a nice touch. - kitchen has plenty of utensils. Negative: - could do with a good update in the first floor bathroom- cracked tiles, window handle broken and the shower has no force. - the pans and utensils in the kitchen were greasy and mouldy so a good clean is needed in between uses I think. - general cleaning issues- cobwebs in the corners of the rooms and near the radiators was very dusty and dirty. - we had a big problem with the oven- nearly burnt our food on the first night. The temp it showed was not the one it was on. It was too high and burnt our eyes when we opened it. Maybe needs a good clean and service?
