Spacious Comfortable house close to Etihad+parking

Avoid at all cost, the property is filthy. Negative: After a 6hrs drive when we arrived at the property the parking wasn’t available as the drive was obstructed by a vehicle. The house was filthy, the sofa in the lounge was covered in stains, the yellow cushions were covered in black stains. The house had not been hoovered and all the wooden floors were covered in black sticky marks. The downstairs toilet had no toilet paper as advertised and the floor was covered in pubic hair and urine stains. The kitchen’ s oven was broken, some plates had black mold, there was a glass with dried milk left with the frying pans, the cupboards had old coffee stains and crumbs inside the units, cutlery were dirty, no tea towels. The floor mat by the garden door looked like he had never been washed. Underneath the staircase there was a door (which could not be locked as it was broken) which led on to a very steep staircase and into a basement which look like something out of a horror movie with old supermarket trolley and canisters, we had 3 under 18 years old with us and it felt very unsafe. The back garden was in an appalling state with gutters hanging off the wall and a rusty drying rack thrown on the floor. The staircase leasing to the bedrooms and bathroom was dirty. The bathroom was unusable as the shower hose was broken. The floor was dirty and the miror looked like it could fall as the screws were coming off. The single bedroom’s duvet cover had blood stains, the bin had some sticky residues and had not been emptied. Another bedroom with 2 single beds had bed linen which wasn’t clean. We found dead insects by the bed and snails on the skirting board. Both those rooms give onto the back of the property which is right by a train track, the trains are going all night and all day so you cannot sleep. The double bedroom had stains on the duvet cover. All the towels were tiny and some clearly had been previously used and not washed with stains. The walls on the landing were covered in sticky marks.

Dirty, mouldy, disappointing Positive: Good location for Etihad and off road parking for two smaller cars Negative: The house smelled of cigarettes and damp, there was clearly a damp & mould problem in kitchen. There were no toilet roll, kitchen roll, or hand towels. The sheets did not appear to be clean, with significant staining. The bathroom had build up of black mould. The kitchen crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment were not very clean and the sponge provided for cleaning had seen a lot of previous use. There was no hand soap in either bathroom or the kitchen. I messaged the owner twice and they didn’t respond - once to ask about the key situation and once to ask about Wi-Fi as the Wi-Fi details provided were wrong. The outside bins were overflowing so we couldn’t use them. Everything seemed to be broken - the bedside lamp, shelf in toilet, even the artwork was in broken frames. We peeked into the cellar and there appeared to be a gas canister stored haphazardly down there.

An enjoyable, comfortable and easy stay. Positive: Property is fairly close to the main city. There was plenty of space, it was clean and the property can be easily contacted even late when we were unsure about the boiler and how to properly turn on the heating, they answered and helped us out. Negative: Parking is a little complicated as someone else parked in the spot but we sorted it out.
